Barbara Ann Wallen-66-Rockford, died at 10:15 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2008, at her home. Born December 6, 1941, in Kingsport, TN. to Robert and Nettie Barker Guy. Married to William Jackson Wallen in Gate City, VA., on June 8, 1957. He died in 1993. She was formerly employed at Gates Rubber Co. and was also a machine operator at Ben Carter Machinery Co. Survivors include her daughters; Regina Diana (Michael) Thomas of Kingsport, TN., and Brenda Lee (Ross) Miller of Rockford. Son David Lynn (Tanda) Wallen of Knoxville, TN. and Daughters-in-Law, Judy Wallen of Rockford and Gale Wallen of Rockford. Her Sister, Bonnie and Brother, Preston of TN. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Son, Billy John Wallen, her sisters;Ruby Housewright, Eva Mae Cassidy and Hazel Hollar and her brother, Hubert Guy. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Monday, December 1, 2008, at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home. Funeral service at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home 117 E.
