Life Legacy
Janis Karen McGraw-62-Rockford, died at 6:45 P.M. Monday, June 4, 2012, at Swedish American Hospital after a brief illness. Born November 3, 1949, in Chicago, daughter of Frank H. and Helen H. Klossner McGraw. She graduated from Guilford High School and worked at JC PENNY retail store at Cherryvale. Previously worked at LaBobs luggage and Landmark Luggage. She enjoyed crafts and cooking shows. Survivors include her parents, Frank and Helen McGraw of Rockford, her sister, Rana (Dan) Ehmen of Rockford and her brothers, Lance of Rockford and Frank W. of Baraboo, Wisconsin. 6 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews and many good friends. Thanks to the physicians and staff at Swedish American Hospital for their care during this time. Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home. Rev. Megan Smick will officiate. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.
