Leland Ernest Kennedy- 54
Leland passed through death into the eternal life of Jesus Christ on Monday morning, May 24, 2010, at home. Leland, the son to Leland Alexander and Ella Virginia (Vallem) Kennedy, was born on September 28, 1955, in Rockford, Illinois. He attended Highland Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High and East High School. He was baptized on February 24, 1974 at First Assembly of God Church in Rockford and became a member on April 6, 1974. He was a proud Charter Member of presidential campaigns in Illinois, he enjoyed his job and co-workers at Lowe's, visiting friends, reading and attending church. He is survived by his brothers, Kyle (Cindy), Alan (Cindy) and Richard. His sisters, Sharon Rayburn and Ella (Bart) Stenberg and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his stepfather, Hiram Kramar, brother-in-law, Jim Rayburn and nephew, Alan. Leland's earthly remains will be interred in the Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name in care of his family.
