Ida Ellen Johnson, 92, of Rockford, died at 1:20 a.m. Monday August 16, 2010 in Wesley Willows care center. Born, January 10, 1918 in Silver Creek, Nebraska to Nels and Sigrid Elmina (Minnie) (Johnson) Olson. Married Norman C. Johnson October 14, 1939. A lifetime member of Alpine Church, former member of the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, The Buckbee Woman's Club, an the Par-Tee Golfers at Sandy Hollow. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Livingston of Rockford; Son, Dr. Philip (Ryanne) Johnson of Birmingham, Alabama; Sister, Alice Anderson of Rockford; Grandchildren, Bruce (Luann) Livingston III of Adams, WI.; Mark (Michelle) Livingston of Morrisonville, WI.; Elizabeth (Kurt) Winkelmann of Freeport, IL.; Dr. Kathryn Johnson of Chapel Hill, NC and Mitchell Johnson of Birmingham, AL. Great Grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Aidan, Jacob, Joshua and Ashley Livingston and Paige Winkelmann. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Norman, Son in Law, Bruce Livingston Jr., Brothers, Oscar, Albert and Elmer Olson and sister, Berdina Beck.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 19, 2010 at Alpine Lutheran Church 5001 Forest View Ave. Rockford, IL 61108 with the Rev. Dr. Richard J. Meier, officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial in her name.
