Theodore R. Lemke, 79, of Rockford, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday August 15, 2010 in Alden Alma Nelson Nursing Home. Born on November 26, 1930 in Rockford to Theodore A. & Ruby (Nordeen) Lemke. Married Evelyn Goedert in Rockford on June 1, 1963.

Employed for 37 years at Cotta Transmissions before retiring. Army Veteran, serving in Korea. Theodore was an avid fisherman and loved to take his boat up to Michigan, camping and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his Daughter, Tammi (Rick) Garza of Rockford; Sister, Shirley McFarlane; Grandchildren, Ashley & Troy Garza and Jennie Bollinger. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn; brothers, Donald & Gordon and his daughter, Janice Bollinger.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 20, 2010 at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home 304 N. 5th St. Rockford with the Rev. David Petty of Calvary Memorial Church, officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
